Felix Mutati has urged the Technical Education Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Authority (TEVETA) to continously review curricula to deliver relevant and effective skills that will usher into industry-competent artisans as quality drives the economy.

TEVETA has partnered with the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) and International Business Machines (IBM) Corporation to create relevant platform for delivering digital skills for entrepreneurs, youths, women and career explorers in the country, particularly in the TEVET sector. TEVETA has prioritised enhancing the quality of skills in the 2021 - 2026 Strategic Plan in line with the job and wealth creation agenda of the Government. This is in order to augment the Authority's regulatory and coordination functions to impart quality skills for youth employment and actualisation of entrepreneurship. TEVETA, Kagem Mining Limited and Industrial Training Centre have signed a tripartite skills training contract for Earthmoving Equipment Operators that the mining company.
TEVETA Director General, Cleophas Takaiza said the K1.12 million training contract will benefit 300 employees at Kagem Mining Limited to increase production levels in the sector. Huawei Zambia has launched an Innovation Fund to harness digital skills and groom digital talent among the young people in Zambia. The innovation strengthens digital transformation through skills training and innovation. The Fund will benefit TEVET and university students through scholarships and access to an innovation hub to be housed at Government Complex.
