

Technical Education,Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Authority (TEVETA) through the TEVET Fund has today signed Human Resource Development (HRD) contracts with seven training institutions to upskill 23 trainers in various programmes.
Over K1.8 million will be spent to upgrade qualifications to Degree and Technologist programmes in the areas of Mechatronics Engineering, Design and Technology, Building Construction, Teaching Methodology, Hospitality Management, Animal Science, Heavy Equipment Repair and Automotive Engineering.
Under the Human Resources Development the TEVET Fund aims at upgrading skills for trainers, instructors ,examiners and assessors in the TEVET sector who are involved in the delivery of training in priority skills areas. The sponsorships are aimed at improving training delivery in priority areas espoused in the Eight National Development Plan (8NDP).
The trainers are drawn from Mopani Central Training Centre, Katombora Skills Training Centre, St Mawaggali Trades Training Institute, Lusaka Youth Resource Centre, Luwingu Youth Resource Centre, Solwezi Skills and Katembula youth Resource Centre.
