The Ministry of Technology and Science has awarded Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training (TEVET) bursaries to 13,686 students for the 2026 academic year. The successful beneficiaries were selected from a total of 14,226 applicants. This marks a significant investment in skills development and youth empowerment across the country.
The bursary scheme is designed to support deserving students with financial difficulties to pursue skills training in various priority sectors of the economy.

TEVETA has signed training contracts for more than K10.3 million under Employer-Based Training (EBT) and Human Resources Development (HRD). The investment is part of broader human capital development interventions aligned with national development plans and high-value skills priorities.
TEVETA Board Chairperson, Ngoza Nkwabilo said the investment in the critical skills aligned with the TEVETA Revised Strategic Plan, which sought to address human resources and institutional capacity gaps in skills development for enhanced workforce employability in support of economic transformation.

Capacity building for lecturers to take up Electric Vehicles and Electric Motorbikes (E-mobility) training programmes in Zambia and Malawi has commenced under the EcoCharge Project.
Early this year, TEVETA Zambia, TEVETA Malawi ,Don Bosco Zambia and Don Bosco Malawi together with partners from Europe, Italy and spain received funding under the EcoCharge Project whose focus is e-mobility and skills development. TEVETA invites registered training institutions to submit proposals for financing under the TEVET Fund to deliver skills training for MSMEs and the informal economy. Submit five (5) copies in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the institution name and the funding window by Friday, 21 November 2025 at 15:00hrs. Terms of Reference have been emailed to all TEVET-registered institutions and are also available at www.teveta.org.zm.
