Call for Expressions of Interest (EoI) - Trident Foundation Limited (TFL) Skills Training Facility

1.0 INTRODUCTION

1.1 Trident Foundation Limited (TFL) was established by First Quantum Minerals Limited (FQML) through its subsidiary, Kalumbila Minerals Limited (KML) as a “not for profit” organisation to facilitate implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities and safeguard a sustainable corporate-stakeholder relationship. TFL is situated in NW Province Kalumbila District, roughly about 160km from Solwezi on the Solwezi-Mwinilunga Road.


1.2 TFL wishes to identify an Off Taker who will complete the remaining minimal infrastructure and commence training programmes at a training school that it had constructed in Mbole area of Chief Musele area of Kalumbila district to offer livelihood skills as part of its CSR initiative to the community.

2.0 Rationale


2.1.1 TFL has a training school facility which has a 1 x 3 classroom block and 3 bedroomed (Self-contained) staff houses in Mbole area of Chief Musele area of Kalumbila district.


2.1.2 The facility has some structures that are yet to be constructed such as ablution blocks for the learners, water reticulation and a security fence.
2.1.3 The skills Training School was established with the main objective of promoting livelihood support through technical skills development as part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in order to improve the lives of the community where TFL is operating.


2.1.4 Courses that were planned for this institution include; Carpentry and Joinery, Metal Fabrication, Conservation Farming and Livestock Management, Brick laying and Plastering, Tailoring and Design, Basic Automotive Mechanics, Basic Automotive Electrical, Hotel and Hospitality.

3.0 Requirements to be met by the interested party


3.1.1 Be TEVETA registered with traceable background or experience in offering skills training programmes.
3.1.2 Review and certification for the training programme.
3.1.3 Should have the financial ability to manage the institution
3.1.4 Ability to mobilize and commence training by the first quarter of 2021.
3.1.5 Must offer training Programmes that are aligned to livelihood support.
3.1.6 Present a high level Business strategy and prove ability to initiate new plans for the institution.
3.1.7 Illustrate ability to collaborate with other institutions and GRZ mandated line ministries/departments/semi-autonomous bodies to ensure sustainability.
3.1.8 Should have a timetabled action plan.
3.1.9 Adhere to safe health, safety and housekeeping practices.
