TEVETA Research Agenda (2025–2027)
Driving Evidence-Based Transformation in Zambia’s TEVET Sector
The Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Authority (TEVETA) is pleased to share its Research Agenda for 2025–2027, a strategic framework designed to strengthen Zambia’s TEVET sector through focused, high-quality research. Anchored in Zambia’s Vision 2030 and the Eighth National Development Plan (8NDP), this agenda prioritizes evidence-based decision-making to inform policy, improve training quality, and ensure alignment with labour market needs.
This agenda identifies key research areas critical to national development, including Competence-Based Training (CBT), curriculum-labour market alignment, employment outcomes, quality assurance, technological integration, and equitable access to training. It serves as both a guide and a call to action for researchers, policymakers, training institutions, industry stakeholders, and development partners.
By fostering a culture of inquiry, collaboration, and innovation, TEVETA aims to ensure that research not only informs reforms but also empowers institutions and graduates to meet the evolving demands of Zambia’s economy.
We invite all stakeholders to explore the agenda and partner with us in building a robust, responsive, and future-ready TEVET system.
